Charles Robins has more than 20 years of marketing and professional writing experience as a communications manager, newspaper reporter, and marketing and advertising director. For several years he led a marketing team for a leading publisher in the home improvement sector. Charles remains committed to working in the building trades but he works with a host of industries, from manufacturing to enterprise software to leadership development to the hospitality industry.
He is passionate about all things related to online marketing communications—in particular, marketing planning and strategy, SEO, content writing and, when useful, integrating internet tactics with more traditional marketing solutions.
Charles is a lifelong learner. Lately, he’s been exploring the power of social video marketing to enhance sales and marketing results. Charles holds a Master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He spent two more years there working on a second Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
Ken Philps is a professional media and graphics designer with 25 years of experience producing publications and creating advertising and marketing materials. As a graphic design consultant since 2004, he has partnered on creative projects with a variety of businesses, media companies and educational and nonprofit organizations.
He brings strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills to projects he collaborates on and is well versed in both print and digital media.
Ken has industry expertise in data management and web programming. Ken studied engineering at Concordia University, importing and exporting at McGill University School of Business, and online marketing at British Columbia Institute of Technology.
